Painted Mines, Calhan, CO

Today we spent the morning with my AWESOME 3rd grade teacher Mrs. G.!  She took us to the Painted Mines in Calhan, CO and then had us over for homemade pizza at her house.  We even had the opportunity to meet her new doggie and her husband.  What a fun day!

104 weekend/last weekend in CO

Picnic lunch at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, CO.  A concert here WOULD be amazing!  So much more fun being here then at the house surrounded by boxes.  Yeah for summer field trips!

When they don't have concerts you can go and run/jump up and down the amphitheater seats and stairs.  There were a lot of us running and jumping!

We also hit Dinosaur Ridge.  It was super cool!  They have more than 300 dinosaur prints and bone that you can climb on and touch.  Here's Anderson climbing on the wall just like the dinos did.

This was a Stegosaurus back plate.  Soo cool!  They had bones in the rock like this all over!

Chip, Dana and Ty joined us for the weekend and brought lots of MUSIC!!!  We had serenading by dueling guitars and piano ALL weekend!

Learning about firefighting/spotting from the El Paso Count sherifs wildfire firefighting crew on the summit of Mt. Herman.  They were working with a crew in the air to find the location of a lightening strike and fire sighted during a storm the night before.
