The circus came to Astoria today! It was quite a show. I saw elephants, clowns, tight ropers, a few trapeze artists and all kinds of bizarre performers.

What's a circus without cotton candy, and more importantly (according to my dad) a LIGHT WAND! I didn't even ask for a light wand, but dad insisted. Apparently, no one would buy him one the last time he went to the circus in the Summer of 1978.

Oregon "heat wave" - it's a whopping 87 degrees today.

Dad's out of town, so it's time for me to start cruizin.

What's so tough about being the Captain? This is a blast! My dad might have to find a new chair.

Today Anderson and I watched my dad's change of command ceremony on his new ship. Grandad, Grandma Ann, Hommie, Dabi and Uncle Brian all came!
