YEAH REDSKINS! Our condolences to family and friends in Abilene, Belleville, Boise and Cowboys fans everywhere! We intend to gloat while it lasts since it doesn't usually work out this way.

80 degrees on the Oregon coast today so we hit the beach. I showed Anderson some of my surfer girl moves.

Today I went to a Coast Guard air show at Air Station Astoria! It was a lot of fun. Anderson and I played with Owen and Dakota. There were lots of cool things do and see.

One big surprise at the Air Show was the large display created by my dad's ship. Other Coast Guard units brought airplanes, helicopters, rescue boats, robots, and divers. A maritime assault team even jumped out of a helicopter. But, my dad's crew trucked in a 10,000lb buoy!! Apparently the air station thought he was joking, but my dad says his crew doesn't mess around when it comes to show and tell!

Wow...I got a guided tour of a 25 foot rescue boat from Coast Guard Station Cape Dissapointment.

Anderson and I checked out the inside of a Coast Guard rescue helicopter! It is just like my Playmobile rescue helicopter. I carefully inspected all the equipment.

We went to The Dalles, Oregon this weekend where my mom competed in the Columbia River Gorge Aluminum Man Triathlon. As soon as she finished we jumped in the car and went straight to a beach party. What a weekend!

My dad's ship had a beach party and bonfire at Ft. Steven's beach. We roasted hotdogs and marshmellows and played in the sand. I made a lot of new friends!

Today we rode the Astoria Trolley. We saw the Goonies house, the pier from Free Willy, the school from Kindergarden Cop, and a restaraunt from In to the Wild. Who knew so many movies were filmed here? Uncle Brian, now that we know exactly where the Goonies house is you can come back and do the "truffle shuffle."

We went for a bike ride on the Oregon coast on Sunday. We stopped on this beach at the site of a famous shipwreck. We also watched a Civil War reenactment at Fort Stevens. Everyone around was having a great time until my dad told them that there wasn't a battle at Fort Stevens in the Civil War, or anywhere else on the west coast. So according to my dad, we watched the actual battle of Fort Stevens. That didn't stop the rest of us from having fun.
